The Society was founded on January 1st 2026 with the goal of bringing together researchers and practitioners in the field of Computational Social Science (CSS) working in the Nordic countries. The society is inspired by its sister Italian Society and by the International Society of Computational Social Science and it aims to partner with them as well as with other organizations interested in supporting the advancement of CSS in Europe and Worldwide.

The Society's main objectives are to:

• Disseminate CSS research conducted in the Nordics
• Promote networking among CSS researchers in the Nordics
• Offer support and advice to Nordic scholars
• Engage in teaching and training activities on fundamental and advanced concepts in CSS
• Raise funding to support its activities
